For crocheting this bag I am using 8 mm crochet hooks.
Crochet with macrame cord
For crocheting this bag I am using 4mm twisted MonoMey Studio natural cotton cord. This cord was specially designed for crocheting and it is produced in Lithuania (Europe). MonoMey Studio cord is soft and easy to crochet with and it is sturdy enough to keep the shape of the projects. For crocheting one bag you will need about 70 meters (it is about 500 grams) of 4 mm twisted cotton cord. You can choose any other color you prefer.
Measurements of the bag
Height : 20 cm (7.9 inches)
Height with handles: 27 cm (10.6 inches)
Width: 25 cm (9.8 inches).
Easy to follow instructions even for a beginner level like me.

This is an easy pattern to follow and a great little bag. I found working with the macrame cord is difficult for me because at 72, I do have some arthritis in my hands. That won't stop me, it just takes longer to make it, as I can't work on it for very long.

I enjoyed making this bag as it was quick and fast. The tutorial did help a lot to get the base started- thank you! I made it in 3 mm braided macrame which worked well but came out too small so I will add some rows to make the base bigger next time.
